How To Get A Divorce in The UK
Since 6 April 2022, obtaining a divorce has become easier with new laws introduced. But it is important to note that this does not mean that getting a divorce is easy and it is recommended that you still consult with a lawyer specialising in matrimonial law. It is important to understand the legal implications of ending your marriage, including the impact that it may have on your finances and children.
To get a divorce in the UK it is best to begin with speaking to a divorce lawyer who will be able to help you with making a clean break or to reach a financial settlement and make this legally binding by issuing a Consent Order. Divorce lawyers will also be able to help make arrangements for children either voluntarily with your ex spouse or by applying to a court for a Child Arrangements Order.
If you appoint CP Law Associates to handle your divorce, you will be assigned a lawyer specialising in divorce, who will complete all your paperwork on your behalf, they will also provide advice and guidance for each step of the divorce and if necessary be able to handle communication with your spouse and the lawyers or solicitors on the other side of your case.

Since the new divorce rules came into place on 6th April 2022, there is a minimum timeframe for getting divorced.
